abstract = "Studies using GNSS receptors (Global Navigation Satellite System)
grew a lot in the last few years. The system makes many tasks
easier, such as: work constructions and plots; topographic land
surveys and machinery guide. It has many applications in the
forest and agricultural fields and it is necessary to know the
influence that the forest is causing and the exactly time of the
data capture. In forest environments, the satellites sign suffers
direct interference from the arboreal cover, decreasing the
accuracy and precision of the positioning as the receptors suffers
interference from the components of the forest that is above where
it operates The aim of this study is to estimate the accuracy and
precision that can be obtained in measures using GNSS receptors,
as well as determine the ideal time to obtain a precise
measurement of the tree specie Populus sp. A double frequency GNSS
receptor positioned in each study point was used to get the static
mode observed. After that, a comparison of each registered
position with a known position receptor was made, obtaining
accuracy. From 12 Hs (nomenclature used for the same was Hi, with
i representing the portion of numbers) the higher variation in the
accuracy was suffered by Hs 37, 38 39, this receptor worked in a
site with a heavier forest cover where the trees are mature and
with a higher number of leaves, which means, the error was
occasioned by the forest cover. The ideal time to capture the data
                         was also analyzed.",
